PEACE IN BUSY DAYS

Have you had those busy times in life
when you’re sure others must think
you’ve fallen off the side of the earth?
If you look at how long it’s been
since I’ve written a blog,
YOU might get that impression of ME!
Well, it’s not true!
I’m still here.

So then, you ask,
what are you doing that’s more important
than writing your blog?

Something that, in one way,
is just as important as writing my novels.
That’s getting them from me to my readers!
A major project has been
polishing the writing in Transformed in Bethany,
getting my daughter to design a beautiful cover
(Don’t you like it?),
and sending and reading proofs
--all, so I can soon have this revised novel ready for YOU.

In February, I went to North Wales, England, and Ireland
to visit family and talk about the importance of stories.
I had some GREAT times interacting with others,
seeing more and more evidence of
how much stories influence and form our lives--
past, present, and future.

Now, I am frantically getting bookmarkers ordered,
a brochure designed,
and a display arrangement planned
in order to be ready for events in the coming months.

In March, I go to Idaho.
In April, I lead two CMTA workshops
at the Pasadena Convention  Center.
In May, I’m going to Iowa, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
(f you’d like more information,
contact me at the Contact Tab on this page.)

 My topics are:

The Unrecognized Weapon against Stress, Brain-Aging,
Poor Relationships and Bad Choices

The Story: Framework for Society
You Write Your Life with Stories

Here’s my gift to you today, a passage that blesses me (that means, makes me happy):
“The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:5b-7 NIV

Hi Arlene, I enjoyed your new post! I have missed hearing from you, but you have been busy indeed! I pray that God will continue to bless you and make you a blessing as you minister for Him through stories! Love in Christ, Vangie

P.S. I do like the cover of your book; your daughter did an excellent job! When will this one be available?

I'm waiting for the next proof copy to arrive. After I read it, if I don't need to make more changes, it will be ready to publish. So, it should be SOON! I'll be sure to let you know.

Always good to read your thoughts. When and were exactly will you be in Ohio?

I'll be in Cleveland, Ohio, the very beginning of June really, not May. If you have ideas for me, please explain in the contact section.

This cover is so perfect. Of course I knew it would be if Rachel did it. You are really busy. God bless you as you travel.

This is fun, having so much interaction! If any of you want to discuss things you don't want everyone to read, use the contact tab. But it's fun to have a discussion on the comment tab when things may be of general interest. Even Forest's question about the Ohio event could be, who knows?
